There's nothing rotten about this Diane Lala helmed production. “Something Rotten” is not profound, nor is it world-changing like some art can be. But it is a solid contemporary musical, full of upbeat, hummable numbers, memorable characters, and some of the best self-referential comedy you’ll ever hear in a theatre. CCM’s production mines all the laughs but doesn’t forget the heart.
