Just some random thoughts after seeing the show a second time:
Grace Rusnica. Just remember the name. And thank me later when you see it in lights.
I’m loving my new policy of seeing CCM musicals twice and from different seats.
The seat I had tonight (Right D9) > the seat I had on Thursday (Center J1). Avoid Row J whenever possible unless your legs are the length of a child. There’s not a bad seat in the house from a visual perspective; but some of the leg room in some of the rows is beyond uncomfortable.
Musical Director Ian Axness is fun to watch in the pit.
Was glad to see Jackson Reagin and Ry Dever in the show; they were out on opening night and both were fantastic tonight.
Stanislav Przedlacki is a leading man on any stage.
Rich Man’s Frug might be the most difficult and lengthiest dance number I’ve ever had the good fortune to see - and the ensemble KILLED it tonight. Seriously, the posture, the lines, the steps, the synchronicity . . . Diane Lala should be proud. Heck, Bob Fosse should be proud.
Benjamin Cheng has instinctual comic timing.
Rhythm of Life had more energy tonight; perhaps it was because we could hear Sean Polk sing?
“Sweet Charity” is a long show, especially when it doesn’t start for thirty minutes past the posted curtain time. I heard it was a sound issue. :::shrugs:::
What a great, enthusiastic crowd. They went wild for entrances, dance numbers, and gave this well-deserved cast amazing reactions. It was super fun.
I am so glad I was able to share this fantastic musical with two of my friends; they were blown away by the talent on stage. And I’m always amazed by the work ethic, voices, dancing, and acting of the students in this program. Can’t wait for the next show!
